‘It’s so cool’ to see a ‘true alien’ – an ancient astronaut
An ancient astronaut is the “first real” alien in the annals of our galaxy.
And his name is Chris Hadfield.
The 38-year-old is a graduate of Oxford University and is now working as a Nasa astrophysicist, the space agency’s official mascot.
The first of his kind to fly in space is known as “Apollo 11” for his role in the mission.
Apollo was the first manned mission to reach the moon.
Its last human mission was in 1976.
He is also the first person to have been to the outer planets.
And it was during the Apollo 11 mission that he first encountered the alien landscape, in a space capsule that took him from the lunar surface to the edge of the solar system.
“I don’t think there is another person who has been to Mars and back,” he said.
“And I think this is a first.”
It is amazing to me that there are people who have done it.
“They are very brave.”
The Apollo 11 astronauts returned safely to Earth, after spending weeks in a capsule on the surface of the moon’s Gale Crater.
A decade later, on December 20, 1969, a rocket carrying the first American astronauts in space crashed in the Pacific Ocean.
“We are so proud of him and of the whole thing,” NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said.
Mr Hadfield said the “true alien” was the inspiration for the character of the alien in his own story, which was created in the 1980s by an artist and musician.
“The real alien is the person who does the thing that we are thinking of, the person we are imagining, the one we are hoping,” he told ABC Radio Melbourne.
“In the space program, that was Christopher [Hadfield].”
The original version of the character was the human astronaut who went to Mars.
“Apollo landed on the moon on July 20, 1972.
The space agency said it had “no plans” to use him as a character, but Mr Hadfield’s work on the fictional space station is being used in a series of films and TV series.”
Chris was very involved in the development of the characters,” said Mr Bolden.”
He was involved in some of the things that were involved in getting this space station up and running.
“What we’re trying to do with that is take some of his best ideas and work them into some of these different projects that are coming out.”
